The Mayor and Board of Aldermen met in regular session on Thursday, March 17, 2016, at 5:30 P.M. Prayer was offered by Alderman Meadows. Pledge of Allegiance was lead by Mayor Amacker.

Roll call was as follows:

Absent: Alderman Magee

Town Attorney Brister was present.

Motion by Alderman Meadows, seconded by Alderman Frantom to approve February 18,2016, Regular Council Meeting Minutes.

Alderman Magee entered at 5:36 P.M.

Mayor Amacker stated that the Finance Committee met earlier in the week to approve bills for the month of February, 2016. He stated that financial statements are available to the town council for their review.

Mayor Amacker suspended Regular Session at approximately 5:38 P.M. and opened a Public Hearing to receive comments from the public regarding the consideration of “An Ordinance concerning the sale and display of tobacco products”. No comments were received from the public.

Mayor Amacker closed the Public Hearing and entered back into Regular Session at approximately 5:45 P.M.

Motion by Alderman Madere, seconded by Alderwoman McDaniel to adopt “An Ordinance concerning the sale and of display of tobacco products.”

Alderman Frantom introduced “An Ordinance regulating Mobile Homes within the corporate limits of Lake Providence”.

Motion by Alderman Meadows, seconded by Alderwoman McDaniel to approve Resolution # 1-2016 – “A Resolution approving the Municipal Water Pollution Prevention Environmental Audit Report for the North and South Ponds”.

Motion by Alderman Meadows, seconded by Alderman Madere to approve a Cooperative Endeavor Agreement with the East Carroll Parish Police Jury relative to cleaning up of debris, trash, limbs, roads, condemned property and other ruins in the Town of Lake Providence and also relative to the maintenance of roads, ditches and drainage in the Town of Lake Providence.

Motion by Alderman Frantom, seconded by Alderman Madere to table an agreement between the Town of Lake Providence and Archon Information Systems, LLC d/b/a CivicSource as it relates to adjudicated property within the corporate limits of Lake Providence.
